Here we declare the Privacy Policy of Philosophy World Democracy. We are as concerned as you are about privacy and data protection as an academic journal that is committed to personal liberty and political freedoms. We have very limited requirements and functions with respect to your data as an academic journal. Further, we have actively limited the functions of 
https://www.philosophy-world-democracy.org by not including functions such as comments, any form of payments, paid subscriptions and advertisements due to our commitment to minimise the data recorded. 

We do not record any information that is not required to facilitate the navigation and use of  https://www.philosophy-world-democracy.org (from here onwards “PWD”) and the email address you submit to us. The information we record as you visit PWD and if you choose to submit your email address includes:


1) your identifying information which includes primarily the e-mail address you submit;
2) the type of domain through which you connect to the Internet and the IP address assigned to you for a particular session; 
3) the date and time of your access to
PWD;
4) the pages you viewed on
PWD
5) the type of browser, platform, and operating system you are using; 
6) the search engine used by you to come to
PWD
7) the keywords which were used by you to come to
PWD
8) the preferences you have for browsing. 

The data recorded is used to provide easy navigation of our website PWD and to use analytics to improve the website PWD. The email you submit is used to send you our newsletter.

Significant data that we record is submitted to us by you such as the email address. The other data components including the date and time of your visit to PWD, the pages you have viewed, or your location data, are collected automatically through servers consulted and “cookies” placed on our website. 

We do use Google Analytics to measure the traffic and gather information about the regions of our visitors so that we can improve PWD for all users across regions. However, analytic cookies are OFF by default and you can turn them ON if you choose to. 

We have provided links to other platforms including those of social media and video sharing services. When you navigate to other websites or applications by clicking on the links from our website the privacy policy of those websites, platforms, and applications will apply. 

Some of the articles published in our website may carry links to other journals, newspapers, and websites which are added as necessary references. When you click these links and navigate to these websites their privacy policy will apply.

Respecting the privacy of our visitors and users is our priority as we uphold the personal liberty, privacy, and political freedoms as essential for a democratic future of the world. We maintain a strict privacy policy and take the measures necessary and within our means to ensure that any unauthorized leak, destruction, loss, disclosure, use, access or modification of your data is prevented.

The data we record of your visit and the email that you submit with us are maintained only for the duration necessary to facilitate the objectives mentioned above. Beyond this duration no data that we record is retained, and instead we either delete them or anonymize them.

We will expand and update the Privacy Policy and the PWD contact information as frequently as necessary. We will inform you of these changes either through the website or through our newsletter service if you choose to subscribe to it.
