JEAN-MARC LEVY-LEBLOND

Jean-Marc Lévy-Leblond is a physicist, an epistemologist and a critic of science. He taught in the physics, philosophy and communication departments of the Université de Nice of which he is now a professor emeritus. He has been “directeur de programme” in the “Collège international de philosophie”. Lévy-Leblond has edited the scientific series of the French publisher Seuil and founded the magazine Alliage (Culture, science, technique). He is the author of many scientific articles and books on quantum mechanics and the foundations of contemporary physics and has written several essays on the relationship between science and society. He has worked to reintegrate sciences within culture, against both irrationalism and scientism.
