HENRIK SKOV NIELSEN
Henrik Skov Nielsen is Professor in the Department of Aesthetic and Communication at the University of Aarhus, Denmark, and guest professor at the University of Tampere, Finland. He is head of the recently established Centre for Fictionality Studies where he is working on a project on fictionality, conceived off as an expression of a fundamental human ability to communicate about invented and non-actual states of affairs. Simultaneously, he is working on narratological research projects on the relation between authors and narrators and on unnatural narratology in the context of the research groups Narrative Research Lab and a Natural Narratology. Nielsen is the co-author of Travelling Concepts: New Fictionality Studies (Peter Lang, 2020) and A Poetics of Unnatural Narrative (Ohio UP, 2016); He is the co-editor of Narratology and Ideology (Ohio UP, 2018), and author of several works on Literary Theory in English and Danish.
