DANIEL J. SMITH

Daniel J. Smith teaches at the department of philosophy at the University of Memphis. He received his doctoral degree from University of Penn State under the supervision of Robert Bernasconi. Smith is a historian of philosophy who specialises in Kant and German idealism, and also maintains an active research interest in contemporary continental philosophy. His work has appeared in Continental Philosophy Review, Research in Phenomenology, European Journal of Philosophy  and  Critical Philosophy of Race. He is currently  working on a book on the development of the concept of "evil" from Kant to Schelling.
