Vijay Tankha was the head of the department of philosophy in St. Stephen’s College where he founded the school of languages and directed it for 11 years After completing his doctoral degree from McGill University in the early works of Plato Tankha concentrated his research on pre-Socratic and Hellenistic thought. He is the author of Greek Philosophy: Thales to Gorgias.
